For large scale meetings, conferences and seminars where instant communication is paramount.
How simultaneous interpreting works
Due to the demanding nature of the service simultaneous interpreting uses 2 interpreters per language who take turns working for periods of 20 minutes. Both interpreters have to undergo special training to develop the ability to simultaneously interpret what the source speaker says into the target language as he or she speaks.
Preparation is undoubtedly the most important part of simultaneous interpreting. For this reason we will hold a meeting with you before the interpreting takes place so that we can discuss the specific content of the seminar/conference in terms of subject matter, speeches, literature. By doing this we can highlight any specific terminology that the interpreter might need, enabling us to avoid any linguistic problems before they occur.
