How we work
You are on our Online Interpreting page

WR Linguistics is not simply language service provider. We act as a communications bridge between our clients, their customers and their suppliers.

Using our services

In terms of interpreting work, two parameters are key to ensuring the quality of the work:

1. The quality of the interpreter

Our team of fully qualified interpreters specialise in different forms of interpreting as well as in very specific fields.

Wherever possible only interpreters who are native in the target language are appointed for your assignments. Equally, different types of interpreting require different skills and experience.

2. The reference material for interpreter’s preparation

All clients are asked to provide the necessary material for the interpreter’s preparation. In the case of simultaneous interpreting, clients must provide the itinerary of the event and and a hard copy of speeches, presentations and all other material that may be used during the conference or seminar. (Where available)

For all other interpreting sessions, clients are asked to provide as much information as possible (i.e. names of participant companies, website addresses,, briefs or documentation that may be discussed during the assignment). If the assignment is of high importance it is common to hold a pre-assignment meeting between the client and the interpreter in order to fully brief the interpreter on the client’s requirements.

Our pricing structure for translations is determined by:

  1. The language combination – a French/English interpreter will be cheaper than an English/Azeri interpreter.
  2. The complexity – Where you require a translator who is fluent in the terminology of a particular industry there may be additional charges.
  3. The format – in person interpreting incurs additional charges including travel expenses.
  4. The notice period – last minute requests may incur additional charges and travel expenses may be higher.

Being available when you need us is a cornerstone of our philosophy. Our regular clients have 24 hour access and a dedicated account manager.

This ensures that when you have an urgent need for an interpreter we will be there for you.

Our telephone interpreting services may be particularly useful on these occasions. For regular clients we offer a number of different options for contacting us at short notice including email, dedicated telephone lines, fax and text message.

We have strict rules on confidentiality. Our privacy policy regarding this website can be found here.

All our employees and freelance professionals must sign extensive privacy policies, codes of ethics and terms of business and undergo stringent checks prior to working with us. These documents are available for viewing by any clients. You can Contact us for copies of these documents.
